I have had many people ask how our name came about. Well, it's pretty simple really. My family and I are very passionate about the need to preserve our environment. We have been active wildlife carers and rescuers for over 10 years and have managed to rescue, rehabilitate and release over 100 animals of varying species.

Suffice to say that we have specialised in macropods (wallabies, kangaroos, wallaroos) and my favourite happens to be the wallaroo. For those who don't know of these animals, they are a fairly large macropod which prefers to live in very dry and arid country. They manage to survive in areas where many other species would find it tough going. They are reasonably solitary animals but do form very strong bonds with their carer/s. Wallaroos are full of personailty and tend to get "cranky" when their personal space is invaded. Many of these traits remind me of myself!

Here are some links to sites that I have designed to help make people more aware of the urgent need to preserve our environment.
